GSEF took part in the first Pact for Impact Summit

10-11 July 2019

The first Pact for Impact Summit was held from 10-11 July 2019 at the Quay Branly Museum, in Paris (France). Organized by the French Ministry for the Ecological and Solidary Transition in partnership with the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, this Summit marked the beginning of a new global alliance of actors engaged in the developpement of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) and committed to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Over 400 participants attended this Summit, including government delegations, representatives of international organizations and local authorities, and international experts in the field of SSE.

In collaboration with the European Commission and the Intercontinental Network for the Promotion of Social and Solidarity Economy (RIPESS), GSEF has organized a session around the theme 'What if the solution was local? Social and inclusive economy at the level of territories'. The discussions focused on how the cooperation between actors and experimentations at local level in the field of SSE provide responses to the challenges faced by territories.

Through the Pact for Impact alliance, the ambition is to collectively establish with all actors involved a roadmap as well as international goals leading to concrete commitments, paving the way towards a new global economy.
